Triangle-based Bluedoor Group recruits former PwC Digital Health leader to drive scale and impact
Bluedoor is pleased to announce that Rich Kenny, MMCI, RN is joining Bluedoor as the Chief Impact Officer (CIO). The CIO is a newly imagined position that reports directly to the CEO and plays a critical leadership role both internally and externally. Central to Rich’s role is leading new strategies and innovative approaches to deepen and accelerate Bluedoor’s impact. As a member of the Leadership Team, Rich will work in close collaboration with senior leaders to elevate Bluedoor’s strategies and programs in the community.
Rich brings 15 years of impressive experience to Bluedoor as a flight nurse, operations leader, clinical informaticist, and professional consultant. According to Bluedoor Group CEO Michael Levy: “Rich’s track record for creatively solving problems, building high performing teams, and leading strategies through execution will be an incredible asset to Bluedoor and position us to scale the business. He knows the landscape of healthcare in North Carolina and nationally. Adding a clinical expert to our leadership team is critical to Bluedoor’s success.”

Considered an expert in healthcare workforce experience design, Rich has helped PricewaterhouseCooper’s (PwC) Digital Health practice advise top healthcare companies across the US on healthcare strategy, analytics, and digital transformation. Prior to PwC, Rich guided health information strategy and analytics at National Spine and Pain Centers and experienced an impressive clinical career as a helicopter flight nurse and operations manager at Duke University Hospital. He has completed Business Administration and Clinical Informatics graduate training from Duke University’s Schools of Nursing, Medicine, and Business and has maintained his nursing license since completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Milligan College. Rich lives in Durham with his wife Lindsey and 3 kids: Asa, Lena, and Josie.
